I bought this shirt in a mall in Albany, NY, about 18 months ago. I wear it today.

While up there, classes are over, summer jobs and beaches are topics af conversation, for those who graduated this could be one of the most stressed out seasons of their lives. But, down here, today we do not ware flip flops nor swim suits, but scarves and big heavy jackets: winter has arrived today.

Fall leave us yesterday, and winter came with a cold sunny june 21st.

Here some pics:

I wrote about her a couple of weeks ago, but I believe it is time to do it again.

Alla Abramov have been writing for the Chilean Citizens Journalism Newspapers I work at for a month a half now. Today we published her fifth article, and I gotta say it is pretty damn good.

"Rice versus Maduro". Read it clicking here.

I could not believe it last Friday, I believe it less today: Cecilia Bolocco is the top one search in the global blogosphere, according to Technorati. I understand how she is what ('cuz we can't talk about who in this matter) we Chileans and Argentinians discuss it and ask everyone else what is that they think about the matter;and even I accept that in the Spanish speaking world this women is the conversation theme. (Me, myself, wrote a piece on her last last week, trying to understand how is her out most important issue)

But, at the moment I click on her name as the top one search in Technorati, two out of three posts highlighted are written in English.

The first, titled "Cecilia Bolocco real or fake; still in big trouble", is just telling us who she is and what kinf of trouble she is in right now, that is of course a blog dedicated to gossip. The second one -actually, the thirth given the real second one is in Spanish- linked a blog called "Celebrity Nude Photos", and here is finally my answer: it is not Bolocco the matter of importance, but her bubbies.

PS: Of course, this post will engrose Cecilia's kingdom.

I want to share with you our first English written article published in Chilean Citizen's Journalism. "Spitzer not only a good Democrat, he’s a loyal democrat" is Alla Abramov's first collaboration to El aMaule.

Alla is a senior at Union and former editor of The Concordiensis. We met while I was in Schenectady last year and she had to deal with my amateur English. Now, I offer to be her editor, but translating her English into Spanish.

This is her article. (Just click on its title or photo.)

Spitzer not only a good Democrat, he’s a loyal democrat
New York Governor, Eliot Spitzer, has strated three truly democratic reforms regarding campaign finance, abortion and gay marriage.

In a Chilean newspaper, about two weeks ago, I read about one of the most stupid things I have heared in a while: the sentimental mile.

This concept means that one hundred deaths (one regular day in Bagdad) 10.000 miles away (those that separate Santiago and Iraq) worth less (use less space) that only one death in the city where the newspapers is published.

Like that, we all know what happened at Virginia Tech last Tuesday.

Then, this idea of the sentimental mile came back to me: 32 killed in an American university means a massacre, while dozens of casualties per day in Iraq sine 2003, come and go as easy as our every morning cup of coffee...

That is the web 2.0, people talking all arround the world knowing no such limits as geography or politics, just language.

Blogs are written in text, like this one, some others are posted on photos. There's also podcasting and, of course: videos.

Videoblogging is one of those things I never imagine as a child, although I did imagine videophones, but publishing videos for free and through your video make a point, and get responses to that on video... well, it is amazing.

Here is an example. Two videos. Watch the first one first:

Now, watch the second one:

What do you think?
